• at least one recorded catch in the squares on which the Baltica 2
Offshore Wind Farm and the cable connection area will be located
(L8, M8, N7, N8, O6, O7, in the years 2018 – 2024
• at least one recorded catch in squares M9 or M10 and fishing
from the port from Darłowo to Łeba inclusive, in the years 2018 – 2024
The amount of compensation for the inability to obtain income from these areas depends on the scale of historical fishing – the larger the catches, the higher the compensation. Catches of all fish species are converted into the price cod equivalent in kilograms per year. The calculation will be made based on official catch data from the register of the Fisheries Monitoring Centre for the period 2018-2024 for each vessel separately. The best year in terms of catches is considered.
• hull length of the vessel
• fishing sites (farm/cable route)
• factors such as: increased distance to the fishery, increased wear and tear on the vessel, longer crew work, higher fuel consumption.
Recreational fishing operators who hold
• at least one recorded catch on average per year between 2020 and 2024
• or at least eighteen catches recorded on average per year between 2018 and 2019
• were stationed in the ports between Darłowo and Władysławowo inclusive
• fishing could take place in any area in the Polish Baltic Sea
The amount of compensation depends on the fishing activity. The more recorded catches per vessel, the more compensation will be granted.
