Compensation rules

Commercial fishing operators who have:
  • at least one recorded catch in the squares on which the Baltica 2
    Offshore Wind Farm and the cable connection area will be located,
    in the years 2018 – 2024
  • at least one recorded catch in squares M9 or M10 and fishing from
    the port from Darłowo to Łeba inclusive, in the years 2018 – 2024
  • a ship registered and stationed in one of the ports from Darłowo
    to Władysławowo in 2025.

The amount of compensation for the inability to obtain income from
the above-mentioned areas depends on the scale of historical fishing
or on the hull length.


The amount of compensation also includes
difficulties resulting from the implementation of construction works at sea, depending on:

  • hull length of the vessel
  • fishing sites (farm/export cable route)
  • factors such as: reduced fishing time due to increased distance to the fishery, increased wear and tear of the vessel, longer crew work, higher fuel consumption.


Angling yacht owners
who have:

  • at least one recorded catch on average per year between 2020 and 2024 or at least eighteen catches recorded on average per year in 2018-2019
  • or provide a certificate from the Harbourmaster's Office or the Maritime Office on angling activity in the years 2018-2024
  • were stationed in the ports between Darlowo and Władysławowo inclusive
  • fishing could take place in any area in the Polish Baltic Sea

The amount of compensation depends on the angling intensity or the port from which the angling activity was conducted.
